Wine & Spirits Magazine - December 2010Once again, Wine & Spirits Magazine explains why the wines from Bodegas Valdelana deserve the Year's Best Rioja accolade. — The Ladrón De Guevara Reserva scored an amazing 92 Points , while the Ladrón De Guevara Crianza scored 90 points, and was also considered a "Best Buy".

Wine Trials Winners
The Wine Trials 2011Two of our wines got featured in the recent 2011 edition of The Wine Trials. — Naturally, we are ecstatic to announce that our $15 Eder Cosecha and Mania Verdejo/Viura "beat $50+ bottles in this year's rigorous brown-bag blind tasting"

What makes The Wine Trials specially remarkable, is that these <$15 bottles are tasted alongside wines costing sometimes 10 times as much. However, the 13 member tasting and editorial team had no idea what they were tasting during the blind (brown bag) tasting.

As noted in the book's review, "You won’t find esoteric words like 'elderflower' or 'pencil lead' in The Wine Trials 2011. The book is written in an unpretentious, conversational style that’s just as accessible to everyday wine drinkers as it is to wine experts. Each review includes the panel’s blind tasting notes, discusses each wine’s provenance and style, and even includes a cheeky discussion of the bottle and label design."
