Secreto de Viu Manent Pinot Noir 750ml
EXPERT NOTE
I'm loving the intense blue fruit that remains fresh all the time while fresh-herb elements lurk beneath. Very attractive roundness to the fruit, but that is well matched by lovely acidity and firm tannins.
-James Suckling
Txakolina, a white wine from Spain’s Basque Country, is a sommelier’s favorite for its searing acidity. This Ziaboga rendition is softer, allowing the citrus flavors to mellow and shine while still showing lots of backbone. It’s a fine partner for grazing appetizers before dinner or for lighter seafood dishes. ABV: 12.5 percent. BW: 440 grams (Light).
WINEMAKER’S TASTING NOTES
Ruby red in color with intense aromas of red fruits such as strawberries and cherries along with light notes of damp earth and flowers. The palate is fresh and delicate, but has good structure, a faithful representative of Chile’s new Pinots from vineyards near the cold Pacific Ocean. Pair it with grilled tuna or mahi-mahi or with mushroom risotto.
