Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Chehalem Mountains Old Vine. 750ML.

EXPERT NOTES

The Ruby Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir embodies our dedication to showcasing the uniqueness of our vineyard. Situated at 400 feet elevation, facing south with an 8% slope, our organically farmed vines, some dating back to 1973, thrive in Laurelwood soil. This estate blend harmoniously combines 49% 115, 49% Pommard, and 2% Wadensvil clones, creating a wine that truly reflects our special terroir.

WINEMAKER’S TASTING NOTES

We ferment using indigenous yeast because we believe this allows the wine to best express it's place. We then utilize gentle extraction with all of our lots spending a minimum of 18 days of skin contact. The wine then stays ten months in thirty percent new, but mostly neutral French oak before bottling. The finished blend contains 30 percent whole cluster fruit.
