The one red that is different, as it comes from a vineyard planted with Garnacha, is the 2020 Finca La Medika, from a plot in Leza that was planted in 1920 on alluvial soils. lt has a nose of sweet Garnacha cotton candy, with sorne creaminess and spicy oak. The palate is rich and round, with fine tannins and still plenty of oak-related flavors in the finish. lt has good ripeness, 14.5% alcohol and mellow acidity. 2,414 bottles were filled in November 2021 after one year in barrel.

This vineyard is located close to Leza´s hospital. The name of thecvineyard,"La Medika", is a tribute to a woman who practiced the medical profession. Her dedication, professionalism and strong will made her to be remembered by all patients and relatives affected by tuberculosis.
