Once again, Wine & Spirits Magazine explains why the wines from Bodegas Valdelana deserve the Year's Best Rioja accolade. The Ladrón De Guevara Reserva scored an amazing 92 Points , while the Ladrón De Guevara Crianza scored 90 points, and was also considered a "Best Buy".
Barón Ladrón De Guevara Reserva 2004: Still youthful in its firm structure, this wine is juicy with dark cherry fruit, a pleasantly bitter edge to the tannin giving form and shape to that fruit. It holds its power in reserve, waiting to focus it on grilled steak.

92 Points
Barón Ladrón De Guevara Crianza 2007: Bright and zesty, this is full of wild blueberry flavor that lasts. it's a simple, elegant Rioja with a lot of lively tension, and not a little potent earthiness in the finish. A bold, lamby wine for a party.
