Tradewinds Specialty Imports -- Spanish Wines

Join us on Tuesday June 29th, for a 5-course Spanish wine dinner at Acacia Bistro from 6:30PM to 9:30PM — Each of the 5 courses will be paired with one of our wines, each from a different Spanish region.

Tradewinds was one of the select US importers invited by the Cambra de Comerç de Terrassa in Spain to meet with several of their local suppliers in April. — During this trip, I had the pleasure of meeting with over 16 suppliers from the greater Catalunya area.

Today, our ValSotillo Crianza scored highest among The Washington Post's review of Ribera del Duero's wines. — This Dave McIntyre recommendation scored two and a half out of a possible 3 stars.

After a successful presence of our ValSotillo Crianza as the featured Wine of the Month in January, the Barón Ladrón de Guevara Reserva joins in the spotlight this April at Taberna del Alabarder. Last night we had a very captivating audience at Taberna del Alabarder where at least 45 people enjoyed the delectable 5-course meal, paired with as many of our wines — Chefs Javier Romero and David Sierra in collaboration with Sommelier Gustavo Iniesta ensured that the evening was noting short of perfection.

Last Friday, we had the great opportunity to take part in one of the inaugural "Embassy Fridays" at the Embassy of Barbados, organized by CariBeat Events. — These events not only serve as a forum for professionals from the Caribbean who live in Metro DC, but also becomes more distinguished knowing that several Ambassadors from the region also attend.

October is a special month for our Crianza’a from Toro and Ribera del Duero — The Munia Crianza from Toro scored 92 points, while Ribera’s ValSotillo Crianza was awarded 89 points and deemed a “Best Buy”.
